What a Week!

Well, my first week in Valpo is over and it went better than I expected. The store is the cleanest and most well kept store I've ever seen. Everyone was very nice and a few talked to me like they had known me forever. I try to learn everyone's names that I run into, including pharmacy workers but I might have a problem with that cause there are 14 techs...yowza...in my store alone. I asked how many RX's they fill in an average-to-good day and I was told 600 to 700....Whoa. The only thing that sucked was having to go outside at 3AM to change the readerboard. It had to be below zero cause after 2 minutes I couldn't feel my hands. Thankfully, one of the ladies let me borrow her scarf so I could stay out for longer than 4 minutes at a time. I think I'll take a pair of Brad's overalls with me next time. I don't care what I look like....as long as I'm warm. The best thing has to be that we have a security guard from 10PM to 4AM on most nites. I guess about 7 years ago the paper delivery lady was robbed and had her throat slashed. She lived, but there was security after that point. It definitely makes me feel safer and I didn't have to give a bogus refund to a druggie all week....cool beans!
